Adopt-A-Stream
We are currently participating in the DOE’s Adopt-a-Stream Program. We have adopted a 0.5-mile stretch of the Northeast Branch of the Anacostia River, as well as a 0.5-mile stretch of Brier Mills Ditch. Our role in this program includes monitoring, cleaning, and protecting these vital local waterways.
Total trash bag count to date: 10 bags of litter
Adopt -A-Road
We are proud participants in the State Department of Transportation’s Adopt-a-Road Program, where we have committed to maintaining a designated stretch of roadway in our community. Our responsibilities include removing litter, reporting hazards, and keeping the area safe and clean for drivers, pedestrians, and the surrounding environment. Through this program, we help reduce pollution, prevent debris from entering local waterways, and promote community pride.
